Please SHARE this........ Logan Mingo Area Mental Health is currently accepting new client referrals for the Intellectually/Developmentally Delayed Day Program! Services are generally 2 to 4 days per week. Transportation, lunch, and a snack are provided in a safe and supervised setting. I am so very proud to say that just after a few weeks since implementation our participants are successfully assisting with the purchase, sorting, storing, packing, and delivery of a package of food that feeds a child for an entire weekend. Currently, 76 children in three Logan County schools receive this package on a weekly basis. This is a huge WIN-WIN for the children, our clients, the staff, the families. I am blessed and humbled just to be a part of it. If you know someone who would benefit from a program that promotes more personal independence through the use of focused effort, new skills, positive behaviors, and social support, please call us at 304-792-7130 Ext 1045 as soon as possible as slots are limited. Finally, if you, your church, or your civic group would like to support this program with targeted food item collection or monetary support, please call! All donations go directly to this food service! We have been asked to expand this service.....there are more children and more schools that are in immediate need. We have applied for several grants to support this effort but we need your assistance to expand immediately. If you are so inclined to help, please use the same number.
