Repost: Target: Regen Dennis, Jack Rupert MacDonald’s stepdaughter Goal: Praise Jack Rupert MacDonald for his generous financial gift to Children’s Hospital A parent’s worse nightmare is a sick child, especially a very sick child. But thanks to a generous donation from a Seattle-area philanthropist who recently passed away, Seattle Children’s Hospital has received a life-changing donation. Ranked in the top ten children’s hospitals in the nation, Seattle Children’s Hospital serves children all over Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. When Jack Rupert MacDonald died, he left behind $187.6 million dollars. His wish is for his generous financial donation to be split by Seattle Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington School of Law, and the Salvation Army. The portion Seattle Children’s Hospital will receive – $75 million plus several million in yearly interest – is the biggest financial donation in the history of the hospital. Seattle Children’s Hospital plans to use the money to fund pediatric research, specifically for immune therapies for cancer or treatments for immune diseases. Praise Jack Rupert MacDonald for his generous financial legacy. By donating to Seattle Children’s Hospital, he has set a wonderful example for others to follow. By putting the health of our nation’s children first, Jack Rupert MacDonald showed how sincere his generosity was. Hopefully others will be inspired by Jack Rupert MacDonald’s actions and follow in his footsteps. PETITION LETTER: Dear Regen Dennis, Jack Rupert MacDonald might not have been born in Seattle, but he lived here for most of his life. By the time he died, he considered it home. This is obvious through the wonderfully generous financial gift he made to Seattle Children’s Hospital, in addition to the University of Washington School of Law and the Salvation Army. Seattle is incredibly lucky to have been considered home by such a generous individual like Jack Rupert MacDonald. This city is not the only group who feels thankful for Jack Rupert MacDonald’s generous donation, though. The people who work at Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the millions of kids and their families who they help everyday, are all incredibly grateful. Jack Rupert MacDonald’s donation, which is the biggest in their history, means that Seattle Children’s Hospital will now have funding for tragically underfunded research areas, especially immune diseases and new cancer treatments. Jack Rupert MacDonald showed his devotion to his convictions by spending his life nurturing the trust his father left him with the intention of donating it to charity. We want to thank Jack Rupert MacDonald for the selfless gift he gave to the community he called home, especially for the sake of all the children and their families who rely on Seattle Children’s Hospital for vital care and treatment.
