Dolphin captivity in Russia, heartbreaking. Russia is supplying the worlds dolphinariums with Orca and Beluga. The Georgia Aquarium on behalf of several dolphinariums including SeaWorld recently tried (and is still trying) to import 18 Beluga from Russia. SeaWorld is also talking of expanding into Russia and China and other places where the animal welfare laws are virtually nonexistent. China is also a growing market for Russian wild caught Cetacea. Please never buy a ticket to see a dolphin show or swim with captive dolphins, because this is the true price paid when you buy that ticket.
