Immediate openings for 7 or 8 call center operators! Louisiana State University Alexandria, is hiring 7-8 part-time, admissions call center staff immediately. LSUA is a selective admissions, SACS accredited college in Central Louisiana offering both associate and bachelor degrees. In this front-line position, successful candidates will be responsible for functions critical to the Admissions Department, including: • Present the campus, programs and qualities of our courses, programs, degrees, as well as funding that may be available to potential students in a professional manner • Obtain additional prospective student information • Follow-up on initial contacts • Using conversational skills to qualify prospective students for the program of their interest, and identify students who want to proceed with admissions • Maintaining a friendly and positive attitude on the phone • Motivating prospects to further their education or training with LSUA • Using a windows-based PC to enter prospect and enrollment information into a reporting system. Salary: Base salary of $12.00 per hour. Training will be provided. Shift: 5:00pm-9:00pm Monday-Thursday Qualifications: No degree is required, although preferred. Candidate must have a strong belief in the importance of post-secondary education as a requirement for success in life. Excellent Communication Skills, outstanding listening and presentation abilities, and great interpersonal relationship skills are required. High-level student/customer service orientation. Work well under pressure and maintain high-energy.
