Please Share . KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Lonnie Vann has been charged with first degree murder and kidnapping in the case of a missing LaFollette woman. Rhonda Daugherty went missing on December 2, 2014. Daugherty and Vann attended church together. At first, authorities did not announce a link between her disappearance and the manhunt for Vann. I feel like were headed to the right direction of locating my cousin and hopefully this is halfway over with. I just want to ask the people that might know anything or might have seen anything that day to come forward for the family, said Scott Kitts, Daughertys cousin. Vann was added to the TBIs Most Wanted list after being wanted on home invasion charges stemming from a robbery in the Deerfield community of LaFollette. That occurred on December 5. He was captured on December 13 in Myrtle Beach. Vann is currently being held on a $1 million dollar bond in Myrtle Beach. Vann, a former LaFollette Middle School teacher, was also indicted on several charges in June following a TBI case that started in November 2013. Investigators say Vann had allegedly taken a 13-year-old student off school property to a church. They say he hugged her and tried to kiss her, both without consent. Local 8 News spoke with family members of Rhonda Daughtery. They said they are thankful to get some answers, but still asking anyone with any information as to where Daughtery might be to come forward. Authorities are also still asking the public to come forward with information.
