Please WRITE to [email protected] if: **You are not happy that your child must take an 11th state assessment, or are fed up with the increasing standardized testing. **You are not happy that your child will be used to field test a product in grades 3-8 and 11, and will sit for 7 hours or more in front of computer to do it and will see NO results. **You are unsure where assessment and educational data will be stored or shared, or if will become part of the Preschool through College P20 WIN database in Connecticut because federal privacy laws changed to now allow sharing. **Your childrens teachers will be under inordinate pressure with the new Teacher Evaluation methodology to make your child perform well on a new test because their job depends on it, and is proven to cause more harm than good. **Our district has to spend money to meet external mandates despite the fact that we have had success for years. Advocating for local control and autonomy will ensure our continued success in New Canaan.
