Only 9 carpark spaces have been requested. Any parking concerns are invalid as all the cars are driven to work in the morning. They are the ones with the parking issues as the street gets packed out with parents collecting children from school, and residents have nowhere to park after a long day working. Privacy issues have been taken care of with windows having to go in above eye level. Pedestrian safety is only an issue once again at school drop off and pick up times. I have seen on many occasions cars stopping on the crossing to let their children get in the car. And on the tight corner at Daniel street therefore blocking the street. As for the proximity to the school, daycare and church? This only seems to be an issue because as previous comments have said these are not the type of clientele we want to attract and overdevelopment will lead to it being a slum of the future. All nasty and defamatory comments about honest hardworking people who cant afford to pay the going rate of $600 a week in botany. We need affordable housing and it needs to be liveable.
