Please allow me to attempt this one more time, I noticed in my previous post I was kind of repetitive ha ha I am your Assosciate National President and first and foremost would like to say welcome. I apologize on my previous post I guess you should not feel like you are a genius after so many hours. Everyone of you have your own reasons for joining this group, please allow me to tell you mine. Currently I work for my family, yes we are a family in the industry but this company had started out as a one truck company, the dream of a single father attempting to leave a legacy for his children and future generations. This man was my uncle and he was an amazing man, he passed a few years ago but since then his children took over and now we have expanded and grew. I have been in the industry for quite some time and I am a dispatcher, well I want to share my fight a few weeks before Christmas at 2:00 am I dispatched out a call, what seemed like an ordinary call turned into a nightmare we go out to help people right this night turned into a night of terror REALLY quick. I asked my driver who was just getting ready to go home to run one last call for me it was a short tow and my shorter flatbed somehow got a flat tire it was an accident and well would have been easier for a flatbed to get, while in transport I hear the phone ring but I was listening to the scanner as well when I heard a call go out and a deep sense of urgency I began to pray it was the mbrs who were following behind my truck advising me that a car hit my tow truck head on the situation was bad and the vehicle that struck my truck engulfed in flames, they were unsure about my driver but I was sure about the car that was the responsible party. I advised the mbrs that I needed them to remain calm and I asked them to do me a favor. Wow this is harder then I thought..... I advised them there was nothing they could do for the passenger vehicle but I needed them to go to my truck and check on the status of my driver. I began to pray and waited for a response I heard my driver tell me smurf I am down, normally I would have been pissed but I was so glad to hear his voice I told him help was on the way and he was going to be okay, my driver was unfortunately 2 people lost their lives that night due to negligent driving, point is when you are reading this it could happen to you help spread the word and make this a Natiowide Cause let us Unite our Voices stand together and continue to make an impact.
