Please allow me to share this with you: Its something I find very intriguing and I think is of interest to most women and perhaps some men in here. I heard this song and thought of the rate of inactive (Jesus how I hate that word) women who do not have steady employment. Sibyl OReilly Mizzi, in her study on Gossip, actually makes reference to housework being womens domain which ironically, women tend to protect and fight tooth and nail for, often going above and beyond the chores that need to be done, because they feel that that is their worth, their status, their domain of power, the only place where they are indispensable. In Maltese Society - A sociological Inquiry (which I just happened to be reading right now) Pauline Miceli refers to a study that argues that high achieving women are more likely to have had mother role-models who did not perceive themselves as full-time housewives. Your thoughts?
