Please any teachers out there explain to me how TCAP is of any use to the students. Why should my 10 year old be so stressed out over the test that she is extremely upset. What purpose does standardized testing actually have. I do not think these test accurately depict a students intelligence or knowledge in any given subject. I went through this when my oldest was in 3rd grade. The pressure that was put on her was so severe she had a massive panic attack at school and had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Please explain how this is helpful to the education of our students in anyway whatsoever.
