Theres strength in numbers, and these rallies provide opportunities to unify and network together. Dont not show up because you expect a large number of others to attend. We need you there! With that said, I had an inspiring day at the rally for Israel and persecuted religious minorities at Union Square in NYC today, which was sponsored by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), but I wish I saw more of you there. As you can see, the following lineup of speakers and performers was amazing, and, if you werent there, you missed out . . . SPEAKERS: Pamela Geller is the President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, author of The Post-American Presidency, publisher of AtlasShrugs, and an internationally renowned human rights activist. Robert Spencer is Vice President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, director of Jihad Watch, and bestselling author of 13 books on Islam and terrorism. He has trained FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force, U.S. military officials on Islam and jihad. Pastor Matthew Singh is a spokesman for Christians United for Israel. Christians United for Israel (CUFI) is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States with over one million members and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. Dov Hikind has served in the New York State Assembly since 1982, representing the 48th Assembly District (Borough Park, Dyker Heights, sections of Flatbush, and beyond), battling against discrimination and anti-Semitism, and standing for human rights. Mordechai Kedar is an Israeli scholar of Arabic literature and a lecturer at Bar-Ilan University. He served for twenty-five years in IDF Military Intelligence, specializing in Islamic groups, the political discourse of Arab countries, and the Arabic mass media. Simon Deng is a human rights activist from Sudan who was enslaved as a child by Islamic supremacists. He fought for years for the independence of his Christian homeland of South Sudan from the Muslim north, while the north waged jihad against Christians. Ashraf Ramelah is the founder and president of Voice of the Copts, a human rights organization with offices in Italy and the U.S., dedicated to the defense of the persecuted Christians of Egypt. Arish Sahani is a human rights activist who serves as Senior Vice President of the Indian American Intellectuals Forum. Bhupinder Singh Bhurji is the Chairman and CEO of Namdhari Sikh Foundation and a Sikh priest. Haider Elias is a Yazidi activist and a former U.S. army translator. During the recent Yazidi crisis he has been part of a delegation that has been working closely with the State Department to manage this crisis. Beni Elbaz is a popular Israeli singer. Ari Lesser is a Jewish rapper whose videos have become a YouTube sensation.
