Please be advised the city of Toledo has detected the presence of toxic algae in its treated water supply. Customers in the metro region are completely without water and a chaotic rush is on for drinking water at local stores. As a result the city is fielding calls from concerned citizens as to any impact to our water supply. The Water Superintendent is working closely with the Sandusky and Lorain filtration labs for any detection of the toxin in our supply. At present, the citys supply continues to be safe and clear of any toxins. However, we will be monitoring the water quality for any change until the situation is normalized in Toledo.
