Please be kind ... I am a total newbie here having made only two quilts and they were with a quilting class. I havent sewn for a for a few yrs and made 2 pillowcases last week and got hooked. Anyway I bought a pattern and 9 fat quarters last year and decided to start it today. I cut out all the pieces and had so much left over that I am wondering if I can add to the length AND width of the quilt. The quilt is 6 pieces in a row (2x9,2x7,2x5various orders) and 20 rows long (2.5 strips joined). I want to add another 6 rows to the length and add a 5 piece to the ends of every row. I have added to photos so you can try and understand what I am talking about. The quilt is laid out on three tables as it kept getting bigger lol. I am in country Western Australia :) Will this quilt work if I sew this together? I think I sew each row lengthwise and then join the rows together from the top working down one at a time???
