Please consider attending the PUBLIC HEARING at Washington Elementary School on Tuesday January 20th at 6:30 pm Learn Charter School Network wants to open a charter school in Chicago Heights. This BAD and not good for the community. You may hear lots of propaganda that supports charter schools but you must learn more about it. Look at what happened in Richton Park when the charter school opened. This charter school will only serve 250 students out of 3351 total students. Charter schools siphon money from the public school system. This will paralyze district 170 and take much needed resources from our community resources. I will post some other information for additional research in the comments. If you cannot attend, please contact the district 170 school board members who will vote on this issue.
