Please consider becoming a foster family to a shelter dog in need. It is hard to let them go but so good knowing they are fulfilling such a wonderful purpose. :-) youcaring/nonprofits/44-more-lifelines/215289?utm_source=widget 44. What is significant about the number 44, you ask? It represents 44 momentarily vacant shelter kennels. 44 lives saved. 44 New Mexico Labrador Retrievers that have been given a second chance. We would like you to meet 44 New Mexico Labrador Retrievers that had, at one time, lost hope and belonged to no one. Luvin’ Labs rescued each of them, gave them a safe place to live, fed their hungry bellies, took care of their medical problems, vaccinated them… and then, each of these dogs was chosen to do something special. 44 dogs from our program will become (or have already become) service dogs, skilled companions for children with Autism differences, or wonderfully trained companion pet dogs. All 44 dogs have been transported to Colorado to begin their second act, showing the world what we already know: the origin of a dog does not define it’s potential. Without the ability to transfer these dogs to Freedom Service Dogs and the Colorado Prison Trained K-9 Companion Program, 44 more dogs would have been euthanized. Both of these programs are reputable, long standing, and highly successful programs who have placed thousands of dogs over the years. We are truly blessed to have had so many dogs accepted and taken in. Imagine if we could figure out how to keep on finding programs like these and save even more Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Retriever mixes in the state of New Mexico! Imagine us having the ability to help hundreds, maybe thousands more through the efforts of many folks working together. Imagine more labs in loving homes, serving and honoring our returning veterans with PTSD, or helping a child with Autism have a best friend in an otherwise isolating world. Imagine a resource where we are truly able to help more of those without voices whose cries continually go unheard in New Mexico shelters because we have no more room to bring them into the safety of the Luvin’ Labs family. Imagine the possibilities and the lives of those without voices we could help! We are long on energy but short on the financial resources that it takes to keep up the momentum. That is where you come in. You love dogs, or you wouldn’t be reading this. We ask that you choose one of the 44 furry little loves in our photo gallery and donate any amount in that dog’s name. Your donation will be used to pay it forward, so to speak. Vet bills, boarding, feeding, etc. It will allow us to save 44 more dogs again. CAN YOU HELP US KEEP ON HELPING OUR PAW PRINTS TO FREEDOM? WILL YOU HELP US FUND A LAB? CAN YOU HELP US SAVE A LIFE?
