Please consider making a bid. Here is more of Amys familys compelling story: Liviana Grace was born January 18, 2008. She fought and survived against Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, small ventricular septal defect and multiple hemivertebrae. The CDH alone gave her a 50/50 chance of survival. She was, by all accounts, a miraculous, normal healthy child until a few months after her second birthday when she started falling down more and losing her balance. In December of 2010 she was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Metachromatic Leukodystrophy. It’s a progressive, degenerative brain disease with NO cure. Liviana’s baby brother Giovanni Charles, born January 16, 2010, and diagnosed with the same horrible disease, but because he was pre-symptomatic, Giovanni was eligible for hopeful treatment. It looks like the treatments Giovanni received in Italy have worked. He is doing amazing, and all tests so far have come back normal. He will go for Sept and January follow ups. When the doctors were here in March they were so excited to see Giovanni in his own environment and how perfect he is. On September 26th, 2013 sweet Liviana Grace lost her battle with MLD. In February 2014, we welcomed spontaneous fraternal triplets Roman, Cecilia, and Cristiano into the world. A couple months later, we learned that Cecilia has MLD, just like Liviana and Giovanni. We will be heading to Italy in September so Cecelia can receive the same life-saving treatment that hopefully has saved her brother G. This was Livis journey.....and now it’s theirs to fight together.
