Please consider signing this petition and subscribing for the Salt Lake Tribune newspaper delivery or on-line. The Salt Lake Tribube is not just for the community, or the State - but for the Country. Unbiased local news reporting is key to preserving Utahs image globally. Whenever a local issue goes national, The Tribunes tradition of unbiased, arguably quality journalism is a valuable source to the Country and to the world. On the other hand, The Deseret News is in-and-of-itself, a colloquialism. It is, as far as I know, a Church-owned newspaper and at its roots is more questionably not an unbiased representation, nor a democratic or otherwise American solution to real local news reporting. If these current reported fiscal affairs that have brought us to this scenario are accurate, the morality of the Desert News and its fiscal foundation appear to be in question. To do my part, I will go ahead and start my Tribune subscription next week. Thank you.
