Please do not give into foolishness! “The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge.” Daniel J. Boorstin, It can be hard to know what to do when someone makes a remark that is insulting to you. Its even harder when that person wasnt thoughtful at all, but made an effort to be insulting. Insults like these are the result of ignorance. Knowing how to respond appropriately can make all the difference between managing a potential conflict and fanning the flames. The Bible say’s in 2 Timothy 2:23 Do not have anything to do with foolish and stupid discussions, because you know they breed arguments. 1 Timothy 6:4 They are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions. Let us not be like the ignorant who feel they have something to prove and protect, but rather let us know the Word of God. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Your Salvation depends on the grace of our lord Jesus Christ and on him alone! So why spend time trying to prove how good we are compared to how bad someone else may be. Time is short we don’t have time for anything else but to seek the face of God and all of his Righteousness. So let us today try to live out the word of God which says 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 “Charity (or Love) never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall CEASE; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away, For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be DONE AWAY. When I was a child, I SPOKE as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I PUT AWAY childish things. For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even also as I am known. And now abides faith, hope, and charity, these three, but the greatest of these is charity.” Love Amen
