Please dont be put off by the title and take a look at this video. It is so troubling. Most cops are good people and professional at what they do. But without a dash cam, this bizarre situation would have resulted in an innocent person going to jail. When in fact, the police collided with his car after he pulled over immediately upon their lights going on, then pulled him out of the car and strangely started to hit him as they moved him from his car to theirs, before charging him with eluding officers and resisting. Thank goodness the cams were on. Now these three police are facing charges for their unprofessional behavior (one has already pled guilty). And if the scenario was reversed, for cops who feel they have been falsely accused of misconduct, the cams will be there to protect them too. They can also reconstruct conflict situations to make sure departments are preparing police the best way possible to keep them safe as they do their jobs. I think we should invest in these for as many officers as possible.
