Please everybody read this, there is more to it than just athletics. Chad Primus commented this. Change is never easy, and it never will be. in a perfect world, we could keep the arrangement how it is....but the world is not perfect. Swanville needs to do something with all sports. Yes, I think there are advantages to pairing but there are more important reasons that we need to do it other than sports itself...like the long term Health of our school. If we choose not combine, we will not have enough for a football team and who knows about baseball. There are sure to be plenty of people transferring to other schools that can provide everything. It will also affect the decisions of many parents who are deciding what school to send their child to. As numbers drop, state aid will decrease and then comes budget cuts, teacher cuts and referendums. Just wait to see how much playing time your child gets if we were forced to combine with a larger school? Do we really want to let this opportunity pass to keep a strong healthy stable school for many years to come? I hope not. I hope that those opposed try to think of not just there own childs playing time but instead, how this will effect their neighbors kids, future children 5, 10,,15 years down the road. This could have a big impact on the town itself. We are halfway paired already and the Kids seem to love it, and seems like a majority are in favor. Lets get this done for the best interest of our school. Good job Aaron and Tyler as well, your a great example of what pairing has done to this point! - Chad Primus
