Please excuse my slipping into proud papaw mode yesterday when I posted the news on our Cowboys minis status. We have many other fine young men and ladies participating in this organization and they should all be recognized for their achievements. That being said, here is where The Cowboys stand as a whole. Our Cowboys Micros and Minis are 2 of the 4 remaining undefeated teams in all of the KJF league, the other 2 being Packers Jrs and Cougars Sr division teams. And while mathematically no team has been eliminated from the playoffs based on the KJF web page info, we are the only organization that can say we have all 4 divisions ranked in the top 4 with our Jrs at #2 and the Sr at #4. GREAT job being done by all, players coaches alike. We have allot of work to do before we realize the potential of a very good year for the organization, I think its safe to say we can be proud of all our young people and we need to show them that support at all levels as we come to the remaining 3 regular season games and the playoffs beyond. Lets remember as we make this stretch run to be loud and proud of our Hilltop players and cheerleaders and supportive of all the kids out there on the field and on the sidelines. Demonstrate the fact as we cheer on our Cowboys we want to continue displaying good sportsmanship. I am reminded of the fact that one of JJs best friends at school is on the Packers minis team and was a guest at our home this past summer. While taking a break from the pool and eating on the patio they laughed about knocking each other around in last years game. Lets take a lesson from these guys they get it when sometimes we dont.
