Please excuse that I am a little more than suspicious of rescuers. I am very thorough, and if you give me one little inclination that you are not 100% on the up and up, I will not send the dog. I am more than happy to keep them until they find a place rather than possibly send them to somewhere worse than where they already are. I know many rescuers - most wonderful but some are literally the depths of hell for a dog. ***Example: A rescue had offered to take 8 small dogs. Another pound had recommended them. I still looked into the rescuer and discovered she was on several DNA/DNR lists in her area (not the pounds on her very impressive list of references of course - I googled her location and found the nearest pounds and called and found that). Even with this info, the rescue coordinator for the other pound still sent their dogs. I pulled ours. The rescue was shut down 3 weeks later.**** Being thorough isnt being crazy or murdering the dogs, it is making sure they end up somewhere that will get them a happy life. Filling up my inbox with craziness wont change that......
