Please excuse the toilet I got in trouble for making a mess in the kitchen so I moved into the bathroom. Anyway.... inspired by you guys I wanted to try my hand at panning for gold. I did some research bought a pan off eBay and on Sunday went and sat in the Creek. To my surprise I began to find some flecks of gold. After a great afternoon I made my way home. As I walked home I noticed a dried up river bed adjacent to the Creek moving up the banking I noticed what I looked like a quartz boulder. Looking at it I saw what looked like gold flakes. So I pulled up a clod of earth dropped it in the pan and brought it home. And as you can see it seems to be full of it. Trouble is the the soil its in is extremely fine as is most of the gold and Im struggling separate it and swish the mud away... do you have any tips or suggestions?
