Work with highly knowledgeable group of customers and as escalation point for other Support groups within the organization and 3rd parties vendors where applicable. Troubleshoot issues. Manage critical customer issues and facilitate communication between customers, escalation, and engineering. Be a customer advocate for timely resolution of issues and for problem reproduction and escalation. Document and reproduce customer related networking problems, and if necessary coordinate fixes by engineering department / 3rd party vendors. Develop technical specialties and prepare technology white papers on these areas. Help improve knowledge management, processes and tools. Main Criteria (Must Have) • Exposure to Technical support(Infrastructure support) environment. Understanding of technical support model-L1, L2, L3 • Minimum 4 yrs exp, including minimum 6 months in infrastructure support • Broad understanding of Security as a domain. Must have worked in supporting security products, environment along with Network. • Have certifications in Checkpoint/Juniper/F5 • Experience and Certification in DNS, DHCP product like Infoblox. • Experience and Certification in product like Optenet. • Skills Knowledge of Red Hat Linux /Solaris • Knowledge of Perl and Shell Scripting • Very Strong TCP/IP knowledge. Strong understanding of Network Security and experience required, with strong transferable skills in other networking disciplines Additional Skill (Good to have) 4-8 years of experience supporting Telecom / Enterprise IP networks. BCA/BE/MCA in computer science. • TCP/IP, UDP • Knowledge of Perl and Shell Scripting • Management Platforms- NSM, JonoSpace • Strong Routing Protocols knowledge (OSPF, RIP) • Strong Understanding of High Availability concepts (HSRP, VRRP, NSRP) • Knowledge of Security Technologies (Firewall and VPN) • Analyze sniffer traces and be able to resolve various Security Appliance issues.
