Please follow the day to day recovery of artifacts and learn about their historic significance by liking the Downtown Goldsboro Artifact Recovery Project. This is an organized and sanctioned community project led by the cooperative efforts of the Wayne County Museum, the Wayne County Historical Association, Goldsboro Wayne County Travel & Tourism, Historic Downtown Goldsboro, and Goldsboro Union Station. Please join our quest to save the (1830s-1900s) artifacts that have lain hidden beneath the concrete and asphalt of our main streets since the early 1900s. This time capsule holds the first 100 years of Goldsboros daily life, strife, and wars that define us as the city we know today. Follow and/or join us as we discover, recover and save our Historic Goldsboro History for all to enjoy and learn from. You will be amazed!
