Please for the love of God, tell me this is fake. Tell me this is some kind of cruel April Fools joke. Donald Trump plans to take one of the most beautiful and historically important buildings in Newport, Rhode Island, and turn it into a casino. Yes, a freaking CASINO. And hes got his eyes set on TWO MORE absolutely gorgeous buildings that I have seen with my own eyes, that I have had the pleasure of touring, and turn them into casinos as well. And he wont even need voter approval because of some stupid loophole about gold leaf decorations and marble and being able to do whatever you want so long as the building is privately owned. He wants to turn Newport into another Atlantic City. He wants to turn my home state into another New Jersey. I dont want to live on this planet anymore. This man wants to ruin the city that made such a huge impact on my childhood, one of the most beautiful places Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. Someone needs to stop this, please. I almost cried reading this.
