Please help find my friend Evi who is lost at sea. She was on sv Nina sailing from New Zealand to Australia, the last contact was on the 4th July in a storm about 400 miles NNE of New Zealand. Search and rescue operations have based their area of search on positions given by the onboard satellite phone. The positions given by this phone are erroneous suggesting that in the space of hours they travelled 700 miles (not possible in a sailing boat). Evi has had years of experience navigating oceans and the GPS positions she reported prior to loosing communications placed sv Nina on a consistent track. This track is significantly different from the erratic one suggested by the positions on the satellite phone which determined the search area covered by search and rescue. Whilst it is appreciated that sv Nina may have sunk and lives lost, it is equally possible that they may be adrift either on sv Nina or her lift raft unable to communicate or control direction. Sv Nina is a USA registered vessel and as such a part of the USA territory. She entitled to seek the protection of the United States of America. All her crew are us citizens except a British citizen. It is understood that if motivated, the US military could use satellite capability to scan the south west Pacific / Tasman sea to very quickly identify either sv Nina’s or the life raft’s exact current location. I am asking on behalf of Evi’s friends that any USA citizens reading this call or email their congressman asking for military intervention to locate the crew of sv Nina. Your congressman can be found here; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_members_of_the_United_States_House_of_Representatives_by_age Please also visit and “like” facebook/ninarescue Time is of the essence Thanks Nick sv VAL
