Please help this mother and her only baby... I have been in an overcrowded house with a lot of other animals for a very long time. There were over 15 dogs and 30 cats living in that small trailer. When Alaqua Animal Refuge agreed to take us in, they took in five of us at first and came back for the rest of us when space was available. They named me Malawi and that is my son Mobi in the video with me. That video was taken when we first got to Alaqua and we were all very scared. It is very hard to be a mother while I am so sick, but I am doing everything I can to raise, love, and protect Mobi. I have a severe skin problem including yeast and staph infections and there is a risk that Mobi might get sick too. They are giving me medicine, but the road to recovery is long. Mobi was born on September 7, so he is very tiny, which makes him susceptible to disease. Let’s all pray he survives. As for me, well I look a lot older than I am. I’m only three-years-old. I have had a hard life, but I am ready to move on and live life to the fullest; a life without worry or stress; a life I can be proud of; one that my son would be proud of.
