(There is a blank copy attached here for you to use) My 3 beautiful prems have all been through their own, very different rides! Our eldest Illiyas was born at 32 weeks, he is now 6 and had a relatively smooth prem ride. He had a day of ventilation. Few days of CPAP and came home after 4 weeks in the SCN grow strong. He is now perfectly healthy! :) Our second, our little princess was born at 28 weeks. She spent 2 days ventilated and 4 days on CPAP. She had a grade 1 brain bleed and an infection but was otherwise fine. She spent 9 weeks weeks in SCN learning to feed and gain weight and surprised us by coming home 3 weeks before her due date. She is now 4 and suffers mild asthma, otherwise shes a happy healthy little girl! :) Our last little man Mahtayo was born at 23+5 weeks, a very different experience! Sadly we lost him at just 3 days old. In his 3 days he had, chronic lung disease, a severe PDA, a punctured lung, 3 blood transfusions plus many other tests and sadly suffered a severe grade 4 brain bleed on day 2 after which his little body just couldnt continue. He fought a massive fight, he was very much wanted and is greatly missed. We have experienced premature birth at all stages, all very different but all with challenges! We will continue to use our experiences to raise awarness for the millions of premature babies born around the world! They all fight big battles to survive, they all have different journeys, no two the same. Many suceed but sadly many are lost. Please help us share these amazing miracles and their stories with the world!! -Jessica
