Dr. Cotca, founded the Washington Institute for Dentistry & Laser Surgery in Washington DC Metro, a private practice Institute with focus on technology and multidisciplinary integration such as smile and facial coordinated computerized design, Temporomandibular Disorders, single tooth and full mouth restorative dentistry, lasers, implants, age appropriate porcelain selection, and whitening in todays dental aesthetics and oral health therapies. She has paralleled her Toxicology background in systemic health and oral health and public policy by founding the Washington Institute For Dentistry & Toxicology Think Tank, where she develops oral clinical protocols and therapeutics for systemic conditions like diabetes, immunosuppression diseases, cancer chemotherapy and radiation, and cosmetic applications like whitening. Dr. Cotca has served on several national Boards and Committees including the Academy of Laser Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Diabetes Association DC Leadership Board, American Dental Association Standards Committee on Dental Products, and has held representative roles in the World Dental Federation and American Dental Association. She has been an active member of various organizations including Academy of General Dentistry, American Equilibration Society, American Society of Laser & Medical Surgery, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry, among others. She has officially represented the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Oral Medicine as their Spokesperson on Capitol Hill, has testified before United States Congress, and has appeared on NBC as an expert on various oral health topics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, and is a member of the prestigious International College of Prosthodontists.
