Please join JLT Communications Group in support of the legislative advocacy efforts of Every Father Counts (EFC), a North Carolina non-profit organization whose mission is to mobilize biological fathers and advocate for their rights to build positive relationships with their children. In America, close to 25 million children live without biological fathers in their homes. It is a proven fact children get better grades in school, achieve higher education levels, and are less likely to engage in criminal or other negative activities when their father is an active, positive presence in their life. Sometimes, circumstances such as children born out of wedlock, divorce, imprisonment, or illness prevent fathers from living with their children. However, biological fathers who are willing and able should be allowed protection by law to be a vital part of their children’s lives and build lifelong bonds with them, regardless of personal challenges or conflicts with the child’s mother. Currently, EFC needs your signature on a petition to the North Carolina General Assembly requesting legislative changes to ensure fathers and mothers of North Carolina have equal access to their children, independent of the family structure.
