Please... join the group, Military Tribute Bike. April 15th (2007) through June 10th (2008), I deployed with the 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division. We were a major part of, The Surge, which took place during what some may call, the turning point of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Our unit was responsible for the killing or capturing of more than 200 high-value targets. But, as a result, we lost 57-Soldiers who were assigned or attached to us. On July 19th (2007), while on patrol in Husayniyah with the Brigade Command Sergeant Major and Brigade Commander, our convoy was struck by a large I.E.D. On this day, my friend and hero, CPL Brandon M Craig (25 of Earleville, MD) was killed on the battle field. I had 11 years devoted to the U.S. Army at this point and had only lost a handful of Soldiers. During the three years I was assigned to this historic unit, I lost more than 40 Soldiers to murder, suicide, car / motorcycle accidents and of course, combat. I was a large part of recovering bodies and performing memorial services during this time. These faces and names are etched into me forever live names on a wall. Two years later, I finally succumbed to several injuries sustained over 13 years of military service and was medically retired at 100%. I was always a patriot. You could find more than 15 American Flags in my home at any time. Weve customized motorcycles, trucks and cars all to pay tribute to America. While deployed, along with my wifes help, we built a 2005 Mustang GT named, WARHORSE. This time, a tribute to those I lost. Quickly she one several trophys but it was too much of a reminder to me of the pain suffered. I sold the car after being home less than three months. So, here I am 6 years later. Living off a military disability check month-to-month but wanting to pay tribute once again to my brothers and sisters lost. Not only in my unit, but all branches. To do so, I need your support. I need investors, donations, anything to help reach my goal of $25,000. Along with building this site (which has several links to a PAYPAL account), I will also be contributing a portion of my monthly pay and writing to different organizations. My plan is to build the ultimate Tribute Bike. This bike will be used in Hawaii to help increase the morale of the Soldiers there. Hawaii holds every branch of service to include The Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard. The bike will be shown frequently to injured troops at Tripler Army Medical Center as well as being put on display at all military basis and shows. The only organization I trust to build this bike is Garwood Custom Cycles of Lexington, NC. Theyve built several of the most artistic patriotic bikes ever seen. IF I DO NOT MEET MY GOAL IN ONE YEARS TIME, OR IF I HAVE LEFT OVER MONEY, ALL FUNDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT. I have no intention of keeping any monies donated. All monies will be recorded in a ledger and posted on Facebook. Id like all donations to remain anonymous UNLESS its in the name of a fallen Soldier. All branches will be represented on this bike with special emphasis on The Army, and the 4-2 SBCT. NOTE: I have no ties or obligations to Garwood Custom Cycles other than being a HUGE fan of their work. I have no obligations to the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), however, I am WWP Alumni.
