Please join us as we welcome author & screenwriter, Shawn Lawrence Otto on February 14th 11:30-1:00pm. Shawn will be sharing about his first fiction novel, Sins of our Fathers, which is described as a “fierce, elegant literary thriller about race, money, and the American Dream”. It is a Midwest Connections Pick & has received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly. Shawn is the screenwriter and co-producer of the Oscar-nominated House of Sand and Fog starring Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connelly. He has also written for several film and TV top studios. His book, Fool Me Twice, received starred reviews from Kirkus and Publishers Weekly, and it won the 2012 Minnesota Book Award for nonfiction. Shawn lives in Golden Valley with his wife, MN State Auditor, Rebecca Otto & is a previous Board Chair at the Loft Literary Center. This will be a very special Valentine’s Day treat!
