Please join us tomorrow May 4th at 11:30 am to commemorate the life of Rennyo Shonin, who was a descendant of Shinran Shonin and the eighth Monshu (head priest) of the Jodo Shinshu school. He is often called The Restorer as he worked diligently traveling widely to propagate the teachings, also transmitting the Dharma through writing letters (Gobunsho, read during services), which contributed enormously to the spread of the teachings through Japan, even among the illiterate. We will also observe monthly Shotsuki Hoyo, or Memorial service, for those who passed away during the month of May.
