Please keep Penny in your prayers tonight. This little peanut is fighting hard and she needs everyones thoughts and hearts in her corner. As we explained this morning, Penny was very agitated and disoriented last night, so we checked her into the ER for more IV meds to reduce the water and swelling on her brain. As of this morning, Penny had not shown the improvement the doctors were hoping for, so they did a procedure where they went in with a needle and removed 1cc of fluid. The hope was that this would give Penny a jump start. As of tonight when Andrea went to visit, Penny is still disoriented and agitated. We want to give this baby the best chance possible, but tonight is crucial. Although head/brain injuries can typically take 5-7 days to really show significant improvement, the doctors hope to see minor steps forward each day. If Penny does not show improvement by tomorrow, we might have to make a tough decision. Although we never give up, we also will not let an animal suffer Please let Penny know somehow that she has tons of people in her corner. We will update in the morning with what we hope is excellent news! This little girl deserves to run and play one day soon.
