Please keep in mind that just because it isnt raining near where you are doesnt mean the water level in the Poudre River wont rise. The water from snowmelt in the mountains due to the warm sunny weather can take several hours to reach Weld County. It is possible that the water level can rise as the day goes on, even on days without rain events. It is suggested that you do not wade through the flood waters. There can be unseen obstacles and high bacteria levels, so a injury or scratch could become infected. Dont let Fido drink from the water either because of the bacteria levels.
