Please keep in mind, while making sideways comments about a childs behavior, who youre saying it to. Youre not saying it to just their mother, who you might think has all this power to change her children to accommodate you. Youre saying it to someone who is putting her heart and soul into a tiny human being, and even when her child isnt acting best, shes still giving it her best. You can imagine that you know all the right steps to take, how to better discipline, be more hands on. But if you cant tolerate a few minutes around her child, what makes you think you could walk any straighter through an entire lifetime in her shoes? Until theres such a thing as a perfect human being, there wont be any perfect parents, and without perfect parents, no perfect children. So unless its done with empathy and a deep understanding of the daily, terrifying struggle we casually call motherhood, keep your comments to yourself.
