Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers for the next few days. My beautiful grandmother, on my mothers side, passed away today at 4:30pm in Panajachel, Guatemala. She was was such a loving and compassionate woman who loved life and God as much as anyone I ever knew. Her life experiences made her such a strong woman, and made sure her family came first. For 50 years this woman witnessed her own country go through countless dictators and war. I will never forget her stories and how she would remind us, her grandchildren, that she thanks God everyday that we never lived in a world like that. She was loved by many. I will not forget the many memories I have of her, and only wished that I could be over there right now. To one of the most humble and influential people in my life, may you watch over us! I love you Abuela, rest in peace Martina Puzul.
