Please keep on saying prayers for my Mama. She was not doing well,today and in a lot of pain. The Jonesboro Rehabilitation Center where she is staying has way too many neglectful & careless attendants and nurses . I walked in to see my Mama all crumpled up in the corner of the bed in severe pain. Her lunch had been delivered and sat about two feet from her bed ( over an hour before ) .I asked if she was hungry ,and she said yes. I sat beside her on the bed and helped her eat ... Some cold fish . I was beyond angry ! How dare these people be so negligent to my Mama, who was in so much pain , that she could hardly reach her tray, much less eat !!!! I asked for someone in charge , and told them that I was so mad and this was very unacceptable. They apologized of course, but there were always the attendants standing around in the halls, just chatting and laughing. I can take better care of my tiny Mama at her house than they can at that useless place. I am so angry I dont know what to do. I will be there everyday to make sure that she has her food and is able to reach it , and eats. I even helped her bathe and put fresh bed clothes on, since the staff that is supposed to do this for her are all too damn lazy & neglectful . I love my Mama , and would do anything for her. But I will not let these people get away with this any more. My Uncle, a Vietnam Veteran, and retired police chief is going to talk to them tommorrow. , because when I was trying to discuss this situation with them, I always start crying. Hopefully,,she will be home soon, and I will be at her house again taking good care of her. I think that neglect of older people with illnesses should be a crime. My heart bled when I saw my Mama in so much pain today , and hungry as her tray sat two,feet away.
