Please keep praying for Emma! Update from Amy Mellon Mitchell My sweet Emma has just been taken off of her IV TPN feeds....... Praise God!! Another step closer to going home once again!! Yes I said home !!! Emmas test result came back that was checking a certain marker in her blood and it went from 8 down to 2.29. This means the infection is almost gone! So this test will be repeated again next Wednesday and if its down to a 1 or less then May 1st will be the last day for IV antibiotics at home. wOO hOO Emma will also be on IV fluids when we go home tomorrow. Emmas lil body has had a difficult time tolerating this strong med but she definitely needed it. Please keep praying for Emma to continue to get a bigger appetite and get stronger each day. Until you are on this journey you truly have no idea the daily struggles and ups and downs that we experience. Im so proud of my sweet girl for being so strong while enduring soooo much at such an early age. We have learned how to be strong and to keep pushing forward. God has closed many doors on our journey and He has opened so many more! We give God all the glory every day! Please look around and share a simple smile, a hug or pray for others. I cant even to begin to tell you how each one of you have touched my life in some way whether big or small. You guys truly lift me up and keep me going. At times when I felt all alone on this journey I suddenly felt like I was on top of this world at times!! Im so thankful for my family and friends and even strangers that are now on our journey with us! Keeping our FAITH bigger than our fears! Big hugs and love!!
