Please keep the family of Richard Wood in your thoughts and prayers. The community lost another dedicated servant and friend from his service in the military, as a police officer, Richfield Township Supervisor, a leader at St. Helen Community Baptist Church and serving on many boards and committees. I can recall many times when he would tell me I am going to retire someday. He just had to help whenever and wherever he could. I am proud to have worked with Richard on Rural Education Matters and to have succeeded with the implementation of a charter school. His wisdom and advice were always a valuable asset. Richard had many memorable moments in his life I am sure but here in the attached photos are two that will affect me and my family going forward. One is when he signed the agreement to purchase the school building from Roscommon and the other is when he, along with his fellow Charlton HestonAcademy board members Jennifer Jarosz, Dave Fultz, Bob Olschefski, Amy Hesse, and Joseph Roush were sworn in creating the first Charlton Heston Academy school board. Thank you Richard, rest in peace.
