Please leave a comment on this asinine article: businessinsider/plants-know-they-are-being-eaten-2014-10 If I can get it to post (its not letting me post), Im saying this: First of all, plants specifically produce tasty fruits and vegetables to be eaten so their seeds will be propagated. Secondly, plants dont have nervous systems and are rooted into the ground because unlike animals that actually do feel fear and pain, they have no reason to escape. Thirdly, eating animals consumes far more plants than just eating plants, therefore plant-based diets are still far less harmful than eating animals. Fourthly, animal agriculture is leading the way to environmental destruction. Fifthly, suggesting that plant response is equal to sentience is absurd to anyone with a fifth grade level of science.
