Accounts of recent experiences often reveal the history of struggles that Native Americans have endured dating back to the era of conquest. Often unresolved grief stemming from this troubled past can create obstacles for individuals. Today we focus on the impacts of historical trauma on our elders. How does their view differ from younger generations? What lessons can be learned from their experience and their resilience? How can our elders help other generations heal?
