Please meet our newest Dog Aide dog, Abby. Abby was found by a kind gentleman 3 days ago wandering his neighborhood. He had wanted to take her in his house but she smelled so badly (she obviously has some skin issues, probably mange with some secondary infections) that he made her a hut on the porch from blankets and a footstool (please no negative comments, he was doing what he could). When he saw our outreach team today, he flagged them down and asked if they could help. Abby is safe at home with one of our board members for the night, has already gotten a nice bath and some warm food and she will be heading to the vet tomorrow to determine what is going on with her skin. Abby appears to be around 5 months old.
