This is a private scout campsite and a charity, so by law they are not allowed to openly have any political affiliation, so they have kindly asked for people not to display protest signs on site. People are urged to be considerate of the site and ensure that all rubbish is put in the bins provided or taken home. Leave no trace! There will also be a few police on duty at the entrance as CRB certificate holders are needed to be present for the safety of the scouts camping in a field nearby. However there are not going to be any searches and the police stress they aren’t there to stop any fun, just be on hand in case of trouble and provide a first aid point. They seem very cool and relaxed to us and are looking forward to the festival! Police........................no banners? There for the protection of the scouts in a field near by? Shame they are not so keen to protect us from the psychopaths meeting up the road.........
