Please permit me a wee celebration, which I am delighted to share with you all here. I started writing my parables on William Wallace Day 2012. Believe it or not, but as Im not Scottish, you may give me the benefit of the doubt, but at that time I knew nothing about Wallace Day. If asked, Id probably have said it was Gromits mates birthday ... Heck, it was quite possible I didnt even know who William Wallace was, nor that his surname indicated some connection with my home nation - the land of foreigners in Anglo-Saxon. Be that as it may, I am now approaching my 2nd anniversary of parable writing. When I started all those months ago - I was so full of trepidation, I was never really sure of where any of it was going, nor of my readership; if it actually existed. Well, the good news is here. I now have 47 parables in all, supported by readers from all over the world - and not just those striving for the independence of the Celtic nations. **** I have in fact also 1 200 likes - including e-mailed commendations from Nicola Sturgeon and Blair Jenkins, who each have parables written for them. And this news in itself fills me with an incredible amount of joy and satisfaction for the job I have attempted to do over these past few months. **** You, the good people of Scotland seem to like and enjoy and share my stories. Thank you so very much for your support. But remember, I am always writing these for you to read in any order, share, download and use in ANY way to promote the YES cause. Stuff them under noses of DONT KNOWS, annoy NO people with the fluency of the argument from such a such a story. Show them that its natural for West Highland Terriers and rabbits to want freedom - so therefore do peoples. Teach people about your proud history, educate each other and ensure a glorious and free future, not impeded by red traffic lights or by out of date encyclopaedias or by broken old suitcases. Travel on the 20:14 express train to independence with your senior guard, Alex or wear your new blue and white wellies like Farmer MacDonald or the bright blue coloured shirt Nicola bought from Salmonds the tailors for you. Pass the aye test with Mrs Scott and get Dr Jenkins to remove your painful bUNION. We will win on 18 September and I hope that my little contribution to the debate will ensure that that victory is one for the Scottish people to savour - and that your new confidence as a free and independent nation will rub off on mine and her people too! Onwards! And with my heartfelt thanks once more for your continued support, Scotland! Dros Gymru/For Scotland. (And keep taking the parables!)
