Burchfield loses another day of library service to teach classes at Jeffery Marzolf loses another day of library service to teach classes at Jeffery High school, Elementary School, Burchfield, Marzolf and Jeffery all directly impacted right now Middle School Library services already cut several years ago from 1 ½ librarians and 1 aide to 1 librarian Elementary School Library Services cut 4 years ago from 1m1/2 librarians and 1 aide to 1 librarian and 1 aide 1 person cannot do the aide’s many clerical jobs and provide professional services to children and to teachers. At the primary level, we have 1 librarian per every up to 700 children; at the elementary school, we have 1 librarian working with more than 1,000 children. In October, more than there were 3,000 visits by children who voluntary came to the SAES library for reading guidance from the school librarian; more than 5,300 books were checked out as children participated in the Titan Trail Reading Adventure. . This does not count teachers and classes who met in the library for lessons and used library resources in the library.
