Please post this to your wall, we saved this sweet gal, Madison and 8 yr old Lab mix, who ended up at the Orange County Animal shelter when she was found wandering as a stray. Her family was found because she had a microchip. They informed the shelter they didnt want her back. Madison is in pretty rough shape, emaciated, blind and scared in the shelter environment. She quickly won the hearts of everyone at the shelter and they knew the shelter life was not for her. They reached out for a rescue to take her and through the power of sharing, Paws For Seniors found a foster family for her. She has been seen by a vet who through blood and urine tests determined that she is diabetic and that because of the diabetes she developed cataracts leaving her blind. She is now on insulin and thriving. Next week she goes back to the vet for an insulin study for the day. As her blindness is due to diabetic cataracts and she is so young (for a senior) we are currently raising money for cataract surgery to restore this amazing girls sight. Today 10-05-14 we are having a bake sale (Donate what you can) at our adoption event to help raise funds towards cataract surgery. Madison will be making a special appearance and to Thank everyone for their support. Here is our post for today, Thank you for sharing!
