Lucie, just shy of 2 years old, was taken to the Drs by her father, while they were waiting her condition rapidly deteriorated, yet, despite her dads pleas the receptionist would not push her through. After 70 minutes of waiting to see a medic, Lucie collapsed and could not be revived. I too have come across a receptionist who behaved like this, wouldnt let me in to see Dr despite my sons condition worsening (he was around 8 months old). I jumped in taxi and found a surgery that recognised that he needed treatment immediately so I switched Drs that day. I was lucky but it was no thanks to the receptionist with a god complex.
