Please read carefully if you have any animals - farm or not. Look carefully at the habits of your animals. If they are drinking too much or eating too much it could be the feed or water that has changed. (We also smell and occasionally taste and spit ouit the food if it appears odd or off) This is as a courtesy to those farmers who are raising meatbirds and all who have animals who eat purchased feed. We had an overly salted feed for our egg layers several years ago and noticed sooo many birds drinking so much water & many deaths occured.Called poultry resources & found that the milling source had many complaints of deaths by the same reasons and salt was a prime suspect. We sent our feet to UGA and yes it was highly overly salted. Thank goodness we took the time and money to know what was going on and changed feed immediately after noticing changes and first few calls.. We lost many of our egg layers.
